Deborah is a licensed professional counselor, in Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Wyoming, and Washington states. With experience working in domestic violence shelters, hospitals, community-based care settings, and schools, she offers a diverse range of experience to address a wide range of challenges that individuals are experiencing. Focusing on a person first approach, she strives to provide a setting in which people feel welcome, important, and valued. Debbie utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches that best fit the individual client she works with. She pulls a lot of techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy but also brings elements in from dialectical behavioral therapy, art, and play therapies.

Debbie lives in Alaska with her husband and dog. She loves spending time outdoors through walking, fishing, and ATVing. She adores her 5 grandchildren and takes advantage of every moment she can to spoil them. Debbie can often be found reading a book or listening to an audiobook. She loves playing board/card games and crocheting/knitting in her spare time.

Debbie is the owner of Kids & Company Counseling and Arise Behavioral Health. Her vision to create Kids & Company started while her daughter was working on her Master's degree in counseling. Debbie envisioned working alongside one another to create a business that embodied the values that the pair of them had as clinicians and people. What started off as a vision has taken flight into an incredible resource to multiple communities.
